Get creative and join IslandWood and King County for a fun morning of seasonal art projects at Brightwater! We’ll use recycled materials from around the house and natural objects from the forest to create beautiful autumn decorations and other festive art. Bring your imagination and join our resident artists as we celebrate the season of change!

Adult participation is expected. We want families to learn and work together! Although this event is recommended for families with youth ages 6-12, we are open to all ages. Please make a decision about your child’s ability to participate based on the following information: This event involves using crafting materials such as scissors and hot glue.
COVID-19 note: As of June 21, we are required by King County (the owner of the site) to have participants ages 5 and up wear masks while participating in this event. Adults will be asked to complete an attestation form related to COVID-19 symptoms and exposure before participation.
Effective October 25th, guests ages 12 and older will need to show proof of COVID-19 vaccination or a negative test to enter Brightwater Center.
What can be used as proof of vaccination?
- CDC vaccination card or photo of vaccine card.
- Documented proof of vaccination from medical record or vaccine provider.
- Printed certificate or QR code from MyIRMobile.com.
- You do not need to show identification with proof of vaccination.
If you are unvaccinated or unable to prove vaccine status:
- People who are unvaccinated or cannot prove vaccination status will be required to show proof of a negative PCR COVID-19 test from a testing provider in the last 72 hours.
