Join us for our always-popular Mushroom Mania lecture!
Join IslandWood naturalists and Andrew MacMillan of the Kitsap Peninsula Mycological Society for an informal lecture, perfect for both beginning enthusiasts and experienced mycologists. We’ll explore the fascinating natural history of the “fungus among us” in an entertaining and informative presentation, followed by time to discuss your fungi folklore and answer questions.
This event will take place indoors in our beautiful Great Hall. Masks are required regardless of vaccination status. Seating will be limited and spread out to allow social distancing. Dress warmly as we will have doors and windows open for increased ventilation. We won’t be doing a mushroom display table this year at the lecture because of physical-distancing. Instead, please bring your mushroom(s) for identification by our experts on Sunday, November 7th for the forays. Thank you!
