All IslandWood staff, volunteers, docents, interns, and graduate students are required to have the COVID-19 vaccination and booster, with the exception of those who have received a medical or religious exemption.
With guidance from the Washington State Department of Health, the CDC, and the American Camp Association, we have developed detailed protocols for safely running the School Overnight Program.

We will continue to update these policies as the Washington State DOH updates its COVID protocols for outdoor schools.
In accordance with current Washington State guidelines, masks are recommended indoors, but are not required.
At this time, IslandWood programs at Brightwater will take place exclusively outdoors. Community event guests are not required to wear face coverings while at Brightwater, regardless of vaccination status, though face coverings are still recommended.
