Community Camp

About

We often hear from folks in the community that wish they could experience IslandWood like the kids do. And we thought – well, let’s do it!

We’re excited to be back for our 3rd year of Community Camp, this October 4- 6!

Friends, families, neighbors, and grandparents — this community event is for all who want to experience the fun and discovery of IslandWood.

Activities

There will be so many fun things to do, including guided hikes, birdwatching, water explorations, canopy tower climbing, yoga, lawn games, campfire variety show, garden excursions, teams course adventures, trail running, and of course quiet time whenever you’d like it. We will be offering four activity sessions on Saturday and two on Sunday – you get to design your own weekend!

Weekend Itinerary

Here is the 2023 itinerary so you can get a sense of what it might look like for 2024!

a Lodge at IslandWood, an Outdoor Meeting venue

Lodging

Stay the weekend overnight in one of our beautiful lodges! Lodging includes one room for two nights and a room will be assigned to you based on the number of people in your group, with a maximum of six people per room. Babies & toddlers are very welcome, but please bring your own portable cribs or pack and plays as needed!

Northwest-style lodges house guest rooms with a combination of single occupancy, double occupancy, and bunk rooms that accommodate up to six guests. All guest rooms have a private bathroom and include bedding, towels, and simple guest amenities. Each lodge contains a spacious log-beam great room with a stone fireplace and cozy seating areas, laundry facilities, and a small refrigerator.

Please note that this is a weekend of fun for all ages, which includes babies and toddlers. This year, we’re hoping to have one lodge for adults and older children and one lodge for those with younger children. As IslandWood isn’t a hotel, our lodge rooms weren’t built to be entirely sound-proof. While we’ll work our best to create the most ideal situation for all attending, we ask that you extend grace to your fellow campers.

Lodge check-in is on Friday from 4:00 PM – 11:00 PM and beginning at 9:00 AM on SaturdayLodge check-out is at 11:00 AM on Sunday.
