Join us for an upcoming Hand-in-Hand Nature Exploration story time hike for you and your little one on IslandWood’s Bainbridge campus!
Parents and caregivers are key to establishing a child’s early love of nature. Designed for 3, 4, and 5 year-olds, IslandWood’s Hand-in-Hand Nature Exploration series creates opportunities for little ones and their parents, grandparents, or caregivers to spend one-on-one time exploring, discovering, and making memories together.
This month, join one of our naturalists for a walk in the woods and learn the truth behind the beautiful fall colors you see! We’ll offer several hands-on activities for you and your little one to help explore the science of the changing seasons, hunt for some creepy-crawlies, and take home a small craft. During storytime, we’ll enjoy a cookie in the Learning Treehouse, overlooking a fern-filled ravine!
Please reach out to Joan Hutchinson at firstname.lastname@example.org with any questions.
Health & Safety:
To ensure the health and safety of our guests and staff, there will be a maximum of 10 families per session—20 adults and children in total. The one-to-one guardian to child ratio will help us ensure safe social distancing. We ask that all guests wear masks and complete a health attestation form upon arrival.
We work to ensure that all reasonable accommodations are in place so that everyone can fully participate and learn during their time on our campus. All indoor spaces and many of our outdoor spaces and field structures were built and are continually maintained to meet ADA code, adhering to WAC 51-50. Learn more about the physical accessibility of our campus here. Service animals only, please.
Thank you to the Fletcher Bay Foundation for helping support this event.
