IslandWood’s foundational graduate program in Education for Environment & Community, offered in partnership with the University of Washington’s top-ranked College of Education, is a 10-month teaching residency preparing equity-oriented educators capable of catalyzing community and environmental stewardship.

While the majority of our work takes place on Suquamish (suq̀ʷabš) and Duwamish (dxʷdɐwʔabʃ) land, we also conduct programs on the land of the Snohomish (sduhúbʃ), Puyallup (spuyaləpabš), Muckleshoot (buklshuhls), Skokomish (sqoqc’bes), and S’Klallam (nəxʷsƛ̕ay̕əm) peoples.
