We’re thrilled to welcome you to our campus. Your safety, as well as the safety of our staff, is always of the utmost importance to us, and COVID-19 obviously poses new issues around health and safety. We have carefully reviewed all guidance from the CDC, Washington State Department of Health, and Kitsap Public Health District in developing our safety policies and procedures, which are listed below.

As this is an ever-changing situation, we continually monitor health and safety guidelines and will keep you updated on any changes in protocols and procedures. If you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us at [email protected].

Logistics

  • Whenever possible, wedding ceremonies and receptions will be held outdoors. If this is not possible, weddings will be held in a large, well-ventilated indoor space.
  • Guests over the age of five, regardless of vaccination status, are required to wear a mask at all time while in indoor public spaces, except while eating or drinking.

  • We will provide ample access to hand-washing stations and hand sanitizer.

Health Screening

Prior to arrival, we ask that the wedding couple and their guests self-screen for COVID-19 symptoms. Individuals with a temperature of 100.4°F or above, or who have a member of their household with diagnosed COVID-19 or COVID-19 symptoms, will not be permitted to attend the wedding.

Staff Health & Safety

  • All staff members reside in Kitsap and King Counties and have been practicing the related health and safety guidelines as we have progressed through the phases of the Washington State reopening plan.
  • Staff members have received training in their roles and responsibilities as they relate to COVID-19 precautions.
  • All staff will be following IslandWood’s onsite work requirements, developed per CDC guidelines, including daily health screenings.

Campus Cleaning and Disinfecting

Additional cleaning methods will be employed to reduce risk to the wedding couple, guests, and staff. Cleaning methods will follow CDC guidance and include increased frequency of cleaning and disinfecting of communal spaces, shared items, frequently touched surfaces, and restrooms.

Overnight Lodging

In accordance with current state guidelines, we are able to offer overnight lodging in our lodge rooms, as well as in our Guest Cottage. We will follow the same thorough cleaning and disinfecting protocols that we use for all our indoor spaces, including UV light disinfecting of all linens prior to washing.
