Dinner in the Woods will be held Saturday, May 6th in celebration of our 20th anniversary! In the twenty years since our founding, IslandWood has exponentially grown from a pilot program located on Bainbridge Island to a nationally recognized organization leading innovative work in multiple locations throughout the Puget Sound region.
And so, as we celebrate our 20th anniversary this year, we thought it was only appropriate to celebrate Dinner in the Woods in more than one location as well! For the first time, we’ll be hosting Dinner in the Woods on our Bainbridge Island campus, at the Brightwater Center in Woodinville, and online – all at the same time.
There will be trail walks, delicious food and beverages, beautiful music, amazing auction items, and great vibes!
Get all the details about the event — including staying the night at our Bainbridge Island Campus and Kids Camp — here!

IslandWood acknowledges that we live and work on the ancestral land of the Coast Salish people, who have been stewards of this region's land and waters since time immemorial, and who continue to protect these lands and waters for future generations, as promised by the Point Elliott Treaty of 1855, the Treaty of Point No Point of 1855, and the Treaty of Medicine Creek of 1854.
While the majority of our work takes place on Suquamish (suq̀ʷabš) and Duwamish (dxʷdɐwʔabʃ) land, we also conduct programs on the land of the Snohomish (sduhúbʃ), Puyallup (spuyaləpabš), Muckleshoot (buklshuhls), Skokomish (sqoqc’bes), and S’Klallam (nəxʷsƛ̕ay̕əm) peoples.
