TEACHER PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT WORKSHOP: URBAN WATER SYSTEMS

October 10 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm

Free

When | October 10 from 10am – 12pm

Who | K-8 Grade Teachers

Clock Hours | Teachers who complete the course can earn up to 2 STEM clock hours.

We interact with water systems every day, but don’t often think about how the water on our streets, under our streets, and in our homes is connected and impacts our regional ecosystem – and how climate change will impact each of those systems. Join IslandWood staff to uncover the often-hidden water systems in our region, and collaborate with fellow teachers to brainstorm ways to integrate this content and related phenomena into your teaching.

I tried to register for this free workshop last night, but it is directing me to a site requesting my credit card. Please advise.

Thank you for reaching out, Kerida! I’m so sorry for our extremely delayed response, and for the confusion on this. We ask that teachers pay a $20 deposit to register for our workshops, which will be refunded upon completion of the workshop. We will make this clearer in our event listings going forward.
