Looking for fun ways for you and your family to stay creative during the rainy season? Join IslandWood and King County in exploring a variety of storytelling activities to keep you entertained even on the drizzliest days.
This event will be held entirely outside, allowing space for you and your family to safely explore Brightwater’s aquatic ecosystems. Gain inspiration from the environment around you to create comics, poems, paintings, and short stories about the importance of water in your own life. Attendees will leave with activities and materials to practice storytelling at home.
Things to Know:
- Space is limited. Please pre-register to reserve your spot to this free event.
- Adult participation is expected – we want families to learn and together!
- Be sure to dress for the weather as this event will be entirely outside. Shoes that can get muddy are encouraged!
- Although this event is recommended for families with youth ages 6-12, we are open to all ages! Please make a decision about your child’s ability to participate, knowing that this event involves painting, drawing, writing, looking at identification guides, using microscopes, and exploring safely near water.
