Public Site Tour - March 17, 2019

With the trees leafing and flowers, such as Indian Plum, announcing themselves, March is a hopeful time of year. Walk our trails for the pleasure of it and learn how they serve as an outdoor classroom for our School Overnight Program. You'll start off indoors with a tour of our sustainably designed buildings.

A volunteer docent will lead this three-hour walk through our ecologically diverse campus, visiting a cattail marsh, pond, forest, and ravine, as well as field structures such as a suspension bridge and tree house. In addition to natural history, you will learn about the various sustainable elements of the buildings and our educational programs This tour is for adults and teens 15 and up.

  • Wear comfortable shoes. The walk is moderate (with possible mud, steep hills, and gravel).
  • Wear weather-appropriate clothing; much of the tour takes place outdoors.
  • Water bottles are encouraged, but please no food.
