Public Site Tour - January 20, 2019

Spend an afternoon on our sustainably designed campus (find out what our Living Machine is all about!) and explore a Pacific Lowland Forest (with views from the top of our Canopy Tower). This tour will be both in and out of doors.

A volunteer docent will lead this three-hour walk through our ecologically diverse campus, visiting a cattail marsh, pond, forest, and ravine, as well as field structures susch as a suspension bridge and tree house. In addition to natural history, you will learn about the various sustainable elements of the buildngs and our educational programs This tour is for adults and teens 15 and up.

  • Wear comfortable shoes. The walk is moderate (with possible mud, steep hills, and gravel).
  • Wear weather-appropriate clothing; much of the tour takes place outdoors.
  • Water bottles are encouraged, but please no food.
  • We ask that no children younger than 15 years old be brought on the tour. (A small child in a carrier is ok, but please, no strollers.)
