Join IslandWood naturalists and Andrew MacMillan of the Kitsap Peninsula Mycological Society for an informal lecture, perfect for both beginning enthusiasts and experienced mycologists. We’ll explore the fascinating natural history of the “fungus among us” in an entertaining and informative presentation, followed by time to discuss your fungi folklore and answer questions.
During the lecture you will connect with fellow mushroom enthusiasts while enjoying seasonal mushroom appetizers prepared in house by our wonderful culinary team at IslandWood. This is an adult program (21+) No-host bar available. Non-alcoholic beverages will be sold at the cash bar as well.
Return to IslandWood after the lecture for a Mushroom Mania Hike on November 13th and practice using your new learning with the support of our IslandWood’s naturalist staff and KPMS mycologist volunteers.
Tickets are $35 per person.
Special thank you to Andrew MacMillan and the wonderful folks at the Kitsap Peninsula Mycological Society and with the generous support of the Fletcher Bay Foundation.
