CAMPUS VISIT DAY FOR PROSPECTIVE GRADUATE STUDENTS

December 10, 2021 @ 1:30 am - 5:00 am

Are you considering IslandWood’s foundational graduate program in Education for Environment and Community (EEC), offered in partnership with the University of Washington?

This 10-month teaching residency prepares culturally-responsive educators capable of catalyzing community and environmental stewardship.

Visit the campus on Bainbridge Island and see what current graduate students have accomplished during their first quarter of the program.  Meet staff and faculty, tour the campus, and watch as our current class of students present on coursework.

During this visit, you will:

  • Meet the staff and faculty responsible for delivering this innovative program.
  • Tour the campus.  Visit learning spaces and the graduate housing area.
  • View presentations from current students highlighting their work over the recent quarter.
  • Learn more about admissions and funding opportunities.  Gain insight to the application process and financial aid available to IslandWood students.

WHO

Prospective students, recently admitted applicants, or anyone interested in learning more about the Education for Environment & Community Graduate Certificate Program are invited to register. Availability is limited, register soon.

WHAT

The campus visit includes opportunities to meet with key members of the IslandWood community, a tour of our main campus and graduate housing, and the interfacing with current graduate students.

Demonstrated interest, as shown by attending any campus event, is not a factor in admission to IslandWood’s graduate program in Education for Environment and Community.

COVID NOTICE

The health and safety of our community and guests is our priority. In accordance with local and state guidelines, all guests (regardless of vaccination status) are to remain masked when indoors and when within six feet of others on the trails. Because we have members of the community who are high risk and immunocompromised, we encourage you to be mindful of your current health status and risk of possible exposure when attending. The visit will be no-contact and all guests will be asked to sign a health attestation upon arrival. We will also not be entering the living areas of current graduate students during the tour. Thank you in advance for your understanding and compliance.
