Sara retired from BECU in 2019 after six years leading the group charged with building engagement across several communities – members, employees, media, non-profits and community partners. She has also led Alchemy Communications, providing change management consulting to US and UK businesses. Sara’s career spanned marketing and communications, specializing in M&A communications and change management, and service in the Pacific Northwest and London. She received her BA in Psychology from Whitman College, and completed post-graduate studies at Judge Business School, University of Cambridge in England. In her retirement, she has become a certified End-of Life Doula, supporting families in planning for and fully experiencing all aspects of end-of-life.

While the majority of our work takes place on Suquamish (suq̀ʷabš) and Duwamish (dxʷdɐwʔabʃ) land, we also conduct programs on the land of the Snohomish (sduhúbʃ), Puyallup (spuyaləpabš), Muckleshoot (buklshuhls), Skokomish (sqoqc’bes), and S’Klallam (nəxʷsƛ̕ay̕əm) peoples.
