Dr. Lara Hansen is the Chief Scientist, Executive Director and co-founder of EcoAdapt, a Bainbridge Island-based nonprofit that is working to ensure everyone is meeting the challenges of climate change to create a durable future. As an ecologist she sees interconnections between the many environmental matters of the day and believes the solutions require a holistic approach. She believes climate change is everybody’s problems and hopes you will join her in doing something about it as soon as you finish reading this sentence.

While the majority of our work takes place on Suquamish (suq̀ʷabš) and Duwamish (dxʷdɐwʔabʃ) land, we also conduct programs on the land of the Snohomish (sduhúbʃ), Puyallup (spuyaləpabš), Muckleshoot (buklshuhls), Skokomish (sqoqc’bes), and S’Klallam (nəxʷsƛ̕ay̕əm) peoples.
