Day 36 – May 28, 2020

In our Seattle-based programs, students learn about the urban water cycle, in which stormwater runoff from sidewalks, roads, and other surfaces ends up in our waterways, oftentimes picking up debris and pollutants along the way. Learning where this runoff ends up in your own community is an important part of understanding this cycle – and your role in helping limit the amount of pollutants that make their way in our waterways.

Check out this map from our partner Seattle Public Utilities to see where the runoff in each Seattle neighborhood ends up!
