Day 29 – Observation

Day 29 – Observation

Getting to know our environment isn’t just about learning the names of plants and examining objects under microscopes. Instead, there are many ways to explore and understand the natural world!

In our educational programs, incorporating multiple ways of knowing allows students to develop a deeper connection to the world around them, value a variety of cultural and familial traditions, and recognize different learning styles.

Try out this fun exercise to see just a few of the many ways you can deepen your understanding of the world around you:

Step 1) Pick up a natural object that interests you. It can be whatever you like – a rock, a twig, a leaf that’s fallen on the ground, or anything else you find!

Step 2) Click through for five different ways to explore the object of your choice.
