Cindy Nguyen

Pronouns: she/her/hers

I’m a Vietnamese American, daughter of refugees, and artist-activist from Houston, Texas. After graduating from Rice University in 2018, I became a Roger Arliner Young Fellow and began advocating for representation of people of color in conservation.

During my time at IslandWood, I hope to grow as an educator and learn how I can meet the needs of students while making sure they have fun while learning. My goal is to teach culturally relevant, inclusive, and meaningful education that brings all living communities together.

In my free time, I love to draw, paint, hike, go to art museums, make smoothies, spend time with family, and go exploring.
