I was born and raised on Cape Cod among the lands and waters that have been stewarded by the Wampanoag nations since time immemorial. My home was surrounded by beech groves and tidal salt marshes that buffered the forest from the bay. As a kid, I had the privilege to do a lot of my learning outside whenever school was out, and have felt attached to learning ever since. I completed my undergraduate degree at the University of Vermont, and worked in East Boston, first as an educator with AmeriCorps, then as a baker, then an educator again in a middle school science classroom. I am an alumnus of the IslandWood EEC Graduate Program and have taught and learned with a variety of ages on IslandWood campus, and hope to continue learning about these lands and waters and the Indigenous nations who have and continue to care for it. When not teaching, I love to bake bread and make things with my hands.
