A Weekend in the Woods Exclusively for Women with Sue Monk Kidd and Ann Kidd Taylor
LEARN. RESTORE. CONNECT.
January 25 - 27th, 2019
Gather your girlfriends, and join us for a restorative weekend of relaxation, renewal, and community at IslandWood's 13th annual Circle of Friends!
During Circle of Friends, you will have space and time for exchanges with each other, as well as deep personal reflections. Your stay on IslandWood’s beautiful, wooded campus includes two nights of accommodation in comfortable sleeping lodges, sustainably prepared meals, live entertainment Saturday night from Latin Lazz Trio, Malo Castro, and freedom to participate in a wide range of indoor and outdoor activities.
We are thrilled that Sue Monk Kidd and Ann Kidd Taylor, coauthors of the New York Times Best Seller Traveling with Pomegranates: A Mother-Daughter Story will serve as the keynote speakers for the weekend’s festivities. Sue Monk Kidd is best known as the author of The Secret Life of Bees and Ann Kidd Taylor is the author of The Shark Club.
This weekend of insight and self care is sure to uplift and inspire as you learn and connect with nature, yourself, and friends. See the weekend itinerary and workshop descriptions below.
In addition, IslandWood and Washington Women’s Foundation are co-presenting An Evening with Sue Monk Kidd at the ACT Theatre on Friday, January 25th, beginning at 5:30 pm. This is another wonderful opportunity to spend time with Sue.
