A Weekend in the Woods Exclusively for Women with Sue Monk Kidd and Ann Kidd Taylor
LEARN. RESTORE. CONNECT.
January 25 - 27th, 2019
Join bestselling authors Sue Monk Kidd and Ann Kidd Taylor for a weekend of renewal as IslandWood presents the 13th annual Circle of Friends.
We are thrilled that Sue Monk Kidd and Ann Kidd Taylor, coauthors of the New York Times Best Seller Traveling with Pomegranates: A Mother-Daughter Story will serve as the keynote speakers for the weekend’s festivities. Sue Monk Kidd is best known as the author of The Secret Life of Bees and Ann Kidd Taylor is the author of The Shark Club.
During Circle of Friends, participants will have space and time for exchanges with each other, as well as deep personal reflections. Your stay on IslandWood’s beautiful, wooded campus includes two nights of accommodation in comfortable sleeping lodges, sustainably prepared meals, and freedom to participate in a wide range of indoor and outdoor activities.
This restorative weekend – highlighted by discussions with Sue Monk Kidd and Ann Kidd Taylor – is sure to uplift and inspire as you learn and connect with nature, yourself, and friends. See the weekend itinerary and workshop descriptions below. We are also in the process of developing workshops on drumming, jewelry making, painting and writing. More info on that soon!
In addition, IslandWood and Washington Women’s Foundation are co-presenting An Evening with Sue Monk Kidd at the ACT Theatre on Friday, January 25th, beginning at 5:30 pm. This is another wonderful opportunity to spend time with Sue.
