Diane Bonciolini & Gregg Mesmer

Diane and Gregg, local Bainbridge Island glass artists designed this piece together with children from two schools during the Artist-in-Resident program. The fused glass tiles depict the butterflies and other invertebrate of Washington State.

Known for their public artwork, school murals and teaching glass design workshops to adults and children, Gregg and Diane have worked with glass extensively for over thirty years. Together they began Mesolini Glass Studio on Bainbridge Island in 1977. Both have shown their work in solo exhibitions, group shows and private collections across the United States.

Currently residents of Bainbridge Island, Gregg graduated with a BA from University of Washington and Diane graduated with a BA from Washington State University. Both are Pilchuck School Alumni and Pratt Fine Arts Alumni.

Pacific Tree Frog

The Pacific Treefrog is the smallest and most common frog in the Pacific Northwest. They live in wet meadows, riparian areas, or far from water in brush or woods. This tiny commonly heard frog is active both day and night. They are very vocal and can be heard most of the year.
