Craig Jacobrown

Artist Bio: 

Artwork 1Based in Indianola, WA, Craig Jacobrown is an artist and teacher with multiple talents.  His skills and experiences include the following…

  • Through his business called ‘The Maskery,’ Craig travels to many parts of North America to teach mask making techniques and how to act based on various mask theater styles. 
  • Craig teaches arts activities, games and storytelling skills from ancient native traditions that directly and indirectly develop conflict resolution skills.  A primary source he uses is a study guide called The Ancient Art of Conflict Resolution:  A Northwest Coast Native Tradition.
  • Craig was a circus tour coordinator/trainer touring in Queensland, Australia!
  • He has written and produced a number of original plays and puppet shows.
  • Craig has taught multiple subjects in traditional and alternative schools including art, drama, science, and social studies. 
  • Over the course of two decades, Craig has been a sculptor of large and small scale public art, typically from bronze and carved cedar.
