Professional Development
IslandWood is committed to the professional development of teachers offering classes, workshops, conferences and consulting support.
Our professional staff guides teachers in developing instructional skills that maximize active, experiential and integrated approaches to learning and accommodate diverse learner's styles. Teachers may join our graduate classes as professional practitioners, attend our weekly workshops when their students are on site, enroll in our annual summer teachers' conference, participate in structured professional development activities when they are on site for a retreat/conference with their school or educational organization, and request IslandWood education staff to conduct professional development as consultants to their schools.
