UW Program Completion
The Graduate Residency in Education, Environment and Community at IslandWood (EEC) program was created in partnership with the University of Washington (UW). Students must enroll either as a UW degree-seeking graduate student or as a UW graduate non-matriculated (GNM) student when they begin their time at IslandWood. Upon satisfactory completion of the course of study at IslandWood, students earn a Certificate in Education, Environment and Community.
The EEC program is a partnership with the School of Education at the University of Washington. After completing a first year in the EEC program at IslandWood, students have earned up to 21 EEC credits towards completion of one of three master’s degrees at UW, including:
- Master of Education - Science Education
- Master of Education - Teaching and Curriculum
- Master of Science in Biology for Teachers
