Program Requirements
- The Graduate Residency in Education, Environment and Community at IslandWood (EEC) offers students a unique opportunity to combine academic coursework with teaching experiences in programs on campus and in Puget Sound-area elementary and middle schools. This structure enables students to practically apply the knowledge and skills they develop in the classroom and field, and continually assess the effectiveness of their teaching techniques.

Degree Paths
- Satisfactory completion of the course of study at IslandWood earns a Certificate in Education, Environment and Community. There are several options available for those who wish to further their studies to complete an advanced degree.

UW Program Completion
- The Graduate Residency in Education, Environment and Community at IslandWood (EEC) program was created in partnership with the University of Washington (UW). Students must enroll either as a UW degree-seeking graduate student or as a UW graduate non-matriculated (GNM) student when they begin their time at IslandWood. Upon satisfactory completion of the course of study at IslandWood, students earn a Certificate in Education, Environment and Community.
