"Explorations"—nature hikes and walks with natural and cultural history elements.
Are you looking for a family outing, and there isn't anything scheduled at IslandWood right now? Try one of our "Explorations."
Each exploration is designed to introduce you to some of the natural history of a location, and the cultural history. We have some photos, links to Google Maps, and even the ability to look at the area through Google Earth.
What we really hope, though, is that you'll get out to the site(s) and EXPLORE! Pack a lunch (or stop at a store on the way), take your magnifying lens, and head out! These pages are designed to give you an idea of what you might see, and maybe even some ideas for before and after activities.
