Vision 2050
Do you think we can get to a sustainable world by the year 2050? A world with fully sustainable systems, including Food, Forests, Biodiversity, Energy, and Transportation is the great challenge of our times. The World Business Council for Sustainable Development engaged in a landmark project – Vision 2050 – and has shown how it is possible.

Join Stanford University’s Bob Horn, the Synthesizer of Vision 2050, and executives from Weyerhaeuser, one of the companies that sponsored the project. Gifford Pinchot III will also provoke our thoughts. Gifford is the founder of Bainbridge Graduate Institute, the nation’s first MBA program in sustainable business. The panel will explain how 29 of the world’s leading corporations came together to rethink the roles that business must play over the next few decades to enable society to move toward being sustainable.
This event will take place at IslandWood.
