Sally’s presentation will showcase a collection of true stories about professionals who use nature therapy to generate wellness. She will also show us slides of new buildings and hospitals that are developing gardens and interiors with nature themes for both adults and children, as well as highlight people from around the world who have donated money to create healing gardens. One chapter in her new book will be dedicated to Prentice Bloedel and the Bloedel Reserve on Bainbridge Island.
Sally Schauman was Chairman of the Landscape Architecture Department at the University of Washington before moving to North Carolina seven years ago. Although semi-retired, she is adjunct faculty at Duke University while completing her book.
