IslandWood's trail systems will be open this day only for your self-guided exploration. Pack a lunch and enjoy a picnic, just remember to Leave No Trace. We'll have trail maps for you so you can find your way around. Spend the day and enjoy our woodland trails as you set your own pace for exploration, discovery and yes, even solitude in our woods.

Hit the trails on Earth Day at IslandWood and explore our lush and varied ecosystems on our 255 acre campus: Forest, Ravine, Marsh, and Bog.
If you've come before, we welcome you back again.
There is always something new to see every season! Springtime in the IslandWood forest is always a treat - listen for the songs of returning spring migrant songbirds, amorous amphibians in our wetlands and lime-green new plant growth popping up all over!
We look forward to welcoming you on April 22nd!
-All ages welcome!
-Bring a picnic, pack it in - pack it out
-Cell phone recycling drive - bring in your cellular phones working or not, accessories and manuals too!
Thanks to Cell Seattle for organizing the cell phone recycling drive. We're proud partners with the Earth day Network and their campaign "A Billion Acts of Green."
