Explore IslandWood's Lodges

IslandWood offers comfortable yet rustic accommodations for our overnight guests in three separate lodges and a guest cottage, all just a short walk from the Welcome Center.

With our concern for our environmental and natural resources, our campus features sustainable elements using an Earth-Smart design in each of the lodges with solar panels for hot water, concrete and cork flooring, recycled wood and radiant floor heat, surrounded by the beauty and nature of the Great Northwest!

Lodge Room

The lodge rooms comfortably sleep one to three adults - one in each of the lower twin-sized bunk beds, and one in the queen-sized, Murphy style bed. 100% cotton linens are provided.

Each of the bunk beds (the uppers are used by children in our school programs) has its own low energy reading light as well as a window looking out into the woods - features requested by children in the early design stages of the lodges.

Great Room

Each lodge has a Great Room - perfect for relaxing, reading, chatting by the fire, or playing games. Remove your shoes and enjoy the heated flooring made from recycled wood.

Unique to each Great Room you'll find a fireplace constructed with material representative of the geology of the Pacific Northwest.

Harbor

The harbor was the site of the old Port Blakely Mill, established in 1864 by Captain Renton. Once the largest mill operation in the world, this community had electricity before Seattle.
