Conference Facilities

With inspiration from the land itself, our six acres of conference facilities cover just a small portion of the 255 acres of natural beauty.

Great Hall

Great Hall

Located in our main Welcome Center, the Great Hall is our largest meeting facility with built-in audio and visual equipment, granite rock fireplace, and raised stage. Built sustainably, featuring natural light, recycled wood flooring with radiant heat and facing a solar meadow.

Learning Studios

Learning Studio Classrooms

This sustainably designed building, houses three classrooms, with private corridor connecting to the outdoors. This building boasts one of the largest photovoltaic array in Western WA, providing fifty percent of lighting and electrical needs on a sunny day (thirty percent on a typical Pacific Northwest day).

Dining Hall

Dining Hall

Sustainably designed with split-level seating and an open kitchen, facing our main campus meadow and forests.

The IslandWood kitchen is committed to using the freshest local ingredients. Conference meals are served family style.

Art Studio

Art Studio

A unique, sustainably designed straw bale circular building, beautifully adapted to meeting space for those who are looking for a non-traditional meeting room. Our Art Studio, nestled in the woods, features a Finnish wood stove and natural skylights...perfect for creative minds.

Large Conference Room

Private meeting room located in the Welcome Center with views of the solar meadow. Room is equipped with video projector for digital presentations. Conference table with comfortable chairs accommodates 20.

Friendship Circle

Our covered outdoor amphitheater and fire pit is surrounded by IslandWood's nature at its best. An ideal spot to finish the day with a campfire, stories and s'mores!

Document Actions

Suspension Bridge

A suspension bridge traverses Mac's Stream and the steep slopes on either side. The bridge gives students a bird's eye view of the forest canopy and prevents erosion that would otherwise occur from the development of trails in the area.
